Great fishing continues in Nanaimo! Fish in the mid to high teens are being caught from the Winchelsea's all the way to the outside deep edge of Entrance Island. Over the past few days, Reel Time Fishing Charters has been fishing in close picking up many nice Chinook salmon out in front of Clark Rock (Piper's Lagoon) and the Five Fingers. We've been fishing anywhere from 100-180 ft down on the rigger with a 15 lb. ball. Our favorite bai...t has been the Skinny G's, kitchen sink and bon chovy spoons.

Hello again Hank!! Well we just got home from Ucluelet, and I thought i would send you a great big Thank-you! We had an awesome time on your boat… We position our vessels in Schooner Cove in Nanoose for the April to June season start up. Nanoose offers easy transit either north or south so we can move to where the best fishing is located. Late June we then move over to Port Alberni to take advantage of the Alberni Inlet for Somas Sockeye. This amazing fishery starts when the fish begin arriving around the 3rd week of June and peak in the first 2 weeks of July. There can still be good fishing through until the end of July in years where the run is a decent size. These fish are perfect eating and the right size for family fun.
My family and I were in Vancouver, and when we learned you could charter a fishing boat we were so excited to spend a day on the water. The boat was absolutely amazing; it was beautiful, worked and sounded awesome, it had shelter from the sun and even a bathroom so we didn’t have to worry about any accidents with the kids. We’d never been salmon fishing before, and it had been years since we were sport fishing, so it was somewhat of a new experience, and we all had a really great time. Everyone we worked with was really nice and full of interesting, helpful information. The boat ride was smooth and fun, the fishing was incredible, and my husband caught his first salmon ever! It was such a fun experience and we would definitely charter a boat again in a heartbeat with Deep Respect.
