Sooke is not Closed for fishing. We have unfortunately lost some of our favorite fishing grounds to the west of Sooke, Otter Point all the way to East Point near the mouth of the Juan De Fuca Strait. We are lucky here in Sooke as we basically sit on a HWY for all returning Salmon, yes we did loose our west fishing grounds but we did not loose a lot of good salmon ground. We will still be out on the water having a great time catching some nice salmon this summer so please do not be discouraged about the fishing closure unfortunately this is the hand we have been dealt and we will make the best of it.
