As part of our Vancouver salmon fishing charters we regularly fish the Nanaimo and the Gulf Islands areas during the spring and summer. The Gulf Islands are located on the eastern side of Vancouver Island and are just a 45 minute boat ride from our Vancouver dock location. The area has hundreds of islands, bays, reefs and shoals making this area a very productive salmon and cod fishery throughout the year. The islands are rich with marine life and sea birds including sightings of humpback and killer whales, porpoises, seals, sea lions and bald eagles. Cod fishing opens May 1.

We always take our kids and guests out for a morning or afternoon of fishing or just enjoying being out on the water and enjoying the day. The excitement of having a salmon or ling cod on the line is as exciting as the catch and of course the enjoyment of a meal you actually caught. They are great hosts & this is always the highlight of any of our guests trips to the island. We highly recommend this experience!
